Les alliages d’aluminium série 2000 sont les alliages d’aluminium durs les plus fréquemment utilisés. Ils se caractérisent par une grande ténacité et une haute résistance à la chaleur. Ces alliages d’aluminium sont applicables dans des environnements ayant une température inférieure à 150°C, notamment dans les structures d'avion, les rivets, les moyeux de camion et autres composants structuraux.
